How does our society function? How do we organize our working world? Has the dividing line between employment and civil commitment not become blurred through time?
The present economic crisis poses the fundamental question of the definition of work anew. There will be no full employment, but on the other hand there is an increasing number of tasks which must be performed by society as a whole. In addition more and more people are discovering that gainful employment is no longer a meaningful part of their lives.
