International experts on education develop guidelines for global policies.
The „Policy Action Group on Learning“ is an independent group made up of individuals from international organizations such as the OECD, UNESCO, the British Council among others, representatives of politics and foundations as well as experts from developing and threshold countries.
The aim of the group is to provide an independent and critical evaluation of the worldwide EFA (Education for All) programme adopted in 2000 in Dakar and to publish recommendations for alternatives giving practical examples. These are tasks which in this form are beyond the scope of the official bodies but which could contribute considerably towards the fulfilment of the commitments. Annual meetings take place on Wasan Island in cooperation with the Canadian Council on Learning and the Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation.
