A place for words

For years a board of trustees endeavoured to establish a House of Literature in and for Stuttgart. The goal was finally achieved in 2001. That year saw the opening under the chairmanship of Dr. Helga Breuninger and with the backing of the Breuninger Foundation which supports the operations of the House of Literature with an annual grant towards the staff costs.
