How does democracy work? Where is what decided and by whom, how and why? Which conditions have to be fulfilled so that people can join in and take part in decision-making? How can a culture of community and dialogue function? Research shows that innovation is possible almost solely through new contacts and at the interface of several disciplines. It is, however, much more than simply finding the smallest common denominator as is the case in many interdisciplinary projects – including politics. What is needed is co-creation so that together we can create something new. In the process unexpected solutions often present themselves, solutions which can never occur to one person alone.
